Wonderful Wednesdays!!!!!!!

"Said I wasn't gonna tell anybody but I couldn't keep it to myself...what the Lord has done for me."

Every Wednesday for the past 2 years I have the most amazing time worshipping our Father.  We eat, we fellowship, we sing and then we meditate on God's word.  "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them" Matt. 18:20

What a blessing!  Our wonderful saints provide us with a meal, a home or place and support us with their marvelous love for the youth of our Church.  Isn't God so good............

We have been so blessed to have such a loving church home here in Hamlin.

"We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you"
Colossians 1:3

So thankful for these amazing teens...allowing God to be your Guide and Friend!!! Rock-n-Roll for Jesus!
Blessings,

Rosie

.......and the show must go on!

Big Green Marching Band!  Go Band!!!!

My little Sax player
My weekend only started with a Piper Victory Friday night and a road trip to Wichita Falls to cheer on the  Piper band.  I am so proud of our band and the wonderful job they performed.  The band uniforms looked incredible and the marching was in sync.  I only wished I could have been the judge of the contest.

Drum Majors: Kyle and Jolana
Our senior drum majors do a fine job of having our band ready to play and march.

Camels in Texas................. Yes!!!! As we traveled to Wichita Falls to support our band we made a roadside stop outside of Seymour, TX to pet the camels.  Crazy isn't.  This was the highlight of our trip!  We can't wait to head back that way to stop and visit these gigantic creatures.

Our new "friends":)

Pipers defeat Ralls 26-20 (2nd district game)!

Friday evening started early at the Lucas home!  Every Friday morning my men leave for a morning devotional led by a member of our community.  Coach feels it is important for our Piper men to begin the day with something positive.

Senior Pipers: Branson #6, Tyler R. #2 and my Tyler#12

My precious 7th graders showing off our sign!

If you have never attended a Piper pep rally then you are missing the spirit of the day!  Our pep rallies are awesome, the cheerleaders do a great job and put many hours to make it successful for the team. Thanks girls!

Then it was off to Ralls, our boys and coaches are treated to a pregame meal from our fans.  This week the "MOMS" group fed our team sack lunches for the ride to Ralls!

Ryne with his meal bag

Since Ralls was a longer destination than normal, our usual festivities for pregame were postponed to later game date.  Even this didn't put a damper on our plans, the girls and I decided to stay with the routine and had our own tailgate party before game time.  Thanks to LK and her wonderful innovative way, we made our "cheese dip" as we traveled to Ralls.  I am not kidding....it was the most savory dip ever!!!!  Thanks girls and gma for the fun trips to the games!   So blessed to have these ladies on our "team".

Do you see the cheese dip in the crock  pot?  It was sooo good, we just plugged it in the car and I stirred on the way --how clever is that!!! Lk preparing her plate before game time. Misty, Andruw, Laura Kate, Abby and Grandma Lively enjoying our own little tailgate party.

Tailgate party food, not at Ralls!

Piper Wives and Piper kids enjoying tailgate party...yum:)

A tough game was played on Friday, we did come out on top!  Yea Pipers!!!!  My #55 didn't play on Friday, he was surely missed on the field!  It has been a trying week at the Lucas' home.  I am so blessed to have all my boys play for their dad, but it didn't seem complete without Ryne on the field.  I know he is heartbroken to be on the sideline, but a mother's heart feels the hurt deeply.  Last week's victory over Roscoe was a bittersweet victory for me, I was proud of #12 and hurting for #55.  Thankfully Ryne will be back with the team shortly.  We know and trust that God has a plan for us all.  I am treasuring these moments and loving these guys!   Thank you boys for bring joy and happiness to my life.

8th grade Jr. High Football Team

One week filled with emotion, exhaustion, excitement, joy, pain and Thursday night victory!  The 8th grade Piper football team had a victorious night by defeating the Ralls Jackrabbits 36-6.  I am so proud of Tucker and his teammates for playing "lights out"!  They had an incredible evening.  These young Pipers are an exciting group to watch on a Thursday night.  Go Pipers!

Jr. High Piper Cheerleaders

Cheering the Pipers on to victory!  Thanks girls for your spirit and time. These girls are special young ladies.
Home Sweet Home!  For the past 2 years my wonderful "Coach" has painted my yard for "district play"!  It is my way to promote spirit for our family and the entire Piper communtiy!  I think it is very appropriate for our family.  I love this time of the year....
This says it all!!!!

Take time to be thankful.....

"always giving thanks to God the Father for everything..." Ephesians 5:20

Anyone who knows me knows that I love decorating our home.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons beside Christmas.  We love to open our home and make it warm and hospitable.  Sit back, drink coffee and enjoy my fall tour.

"Buelo's estufa" - (My grandpa's stove)
This wood burning stove was given to me by my "buelo".  The stove was in his home in a small city in Mexico.  It came right out of his one room cement floor adobe home right into our home.  It has traveled with us to most of our "homes".  I always find a special place for it.  I have a love for old things but this stove is special.  My "buelo" used this stove until the day I brought it home.

"...giving thanks to God the Father through Him."  Colossians 3:17

Pumpkins! Pumpkins!Pumpkins!

PINK!

In honor of those fighting breast cancer - Pipers wear Pink!
On Friday night the Piper men walked on the field wearing pink in honor of those fighting breast cancer.  This was a pretty emotional game for our family.  My boys have two aunts who battle breast cancer.  My older sisters Juanita and Vicki have had their battle with cancer.  Juanita was diagnosed 2 years ago and is cancer free. Vicki has battled with cancer for the last 14 years of her life.  She is a fighter and has not allowed cancer to take over her life.  She has been a blessing to me and my family.  She displays courage, strength and faith daily.  She is our inspiration when things are tough.  Vicki and Juanita we love you and we pray that your fight and faith will be the example for many.  Thanks Pipers for your support.
