If you have never attended a Piper pep rally then you are missing the spirit of the day! Our pep rallies are awesome, the cheerleaders do a great job and put many hours to make it successful for the team. Thanks girls!
Then it was off to Ralls, our boys and coaches are treated to a pregame meal from our fans. This week the "MOMS" group fed our team sack lunches for the ride to Ralls!

Since Ralls was a longer destination than normal, our usual festivities for pregame were postponed to later game date. Even this didn't put a damper on our plans, the girls and I decided to stay with the routine and had our own tailgate party before game time. Thanks to LK and her wonderful innovative way, we made our "cheese dip" as we traveled to Ralls. I am not kidding....it was the most savory dip ever!!!! Thanks girls and gma for the fun trips to the games! So blessed to have these ladies on our "team".
Do you see the cheese dip in the crock pot? It was sooo good, we just plugged it in the car and I stirred on the way --how clever is that!!! Lk preparing her plate before game time. Misty, Andruw, Laura Kate, Abby and Grandma Lively enjoying our own little tailgate party.
Tailgate party food, not at Ralls! |
Piper Wives and Piper kids enjoying tailgate party...yum:) |
A tough game was played on Friday, we did come out on top! Yea Pipers!!!! My #55 didn't play on Friday, he was surely missed on the field! It has been a trying week at the Lucas' home. I am so blessed to have all my boys play for their dad, but it didn't seem complete without Ryne on the field. I know he is heartbroken to be on the sideline, but a mother's heart feels the hurt deeply. Last week's victory over Roscoe was a bittersweet victory for me, I was proud of #12 and hurting for #55. Thankfully Ryne will be back with the team shortly. We know and trust that God has a plan for us all. I am treasuring these moments and loving these guys! Thank you boys for bring joy and happiness to my life.
Victory with Dad |
